For a short time after filing my report with the FTC the calls seemed to have stopped. But now robo-calls from Pacific Palisades come every couple of days. Also the calls now announce who they're from where in the past there was no mention of Pacific Palisades, something that debt collection agencys are supposed to do. Lately calls also announce who they're looking for, most of the time the name's garbled. Some calls also ask to push 1 if you're who they're looking for & 2 if you're not. Not sure if it really makes any difference, as I did push 2.
Usually put the call on hold or speaker & let the blah blah go until it stops in hopes that I help run up their phone bill. Lately the calls do provide a return phone # + a long string of numbers representing my supposed acct. Anyway, I filed another report with the FTC today. And of course I have no intentions of ever returning calls to Palisades as it will be a waste of my time. Not mention that I don't owe them any money for a phony phone bill with AT&T from an address where I never lived.
It is irksome that a company with no real hard facts can just go "fishing" as the rep from AT&T called it - in hopes of finding someone with a name like mine to pay off someone elses debt.

And the robo-calls from Palisades Collections just keep coming. Least now the recording says the company name, they didn't used to. But I have no plans to ever return their calls, who wants to argue with morons - with incorrect info. AT&T, the supposed debtor, says they're "fishing" calling anyone with my name in hopes of finding the correct person. Apparently telling them isn't good enough - which I did when a real person called some months back, nope I've never lived on S. Figureroa.

Filed a complaint with the FTC regarding Palisades Collections. Of course never know if anything will come of it - thought it was worth an effort to file. Especially since its not my debt Palisades is trying to collect + they're morons.
