Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This company is apparently attempting to collect on a bad debt from a person whose name is the same as my husband's.

They call DAILY to home, work, and cell. They are rude. They demand personal information such as social security numbers. They refuse to accept that we are not the party they want, even when they told us the last 4 digits of the social they were after and were told it was NOT a match.

This has gone on for months. I've emailed them. I've emailed the BBB. I've emailed the local police. I've emailed our telephone company. I've emailed a local business newsperson.

The calls continue.

Tami, There is absolutely no reason to ever speak with a third party debt collector on the phone. It will NEVER produce positive results for you, and there is no proof the call ever existed. Demand everything in writing, and you only communicate by certified mail, return reciept requested. be sure to put the certified # on the letter itself, and keep a copy for your records. This is very important as it proves exactly WHAT you sent. By the means above, simply send a CEASE COMMUNICATIONS request to them. Do not sign the letter, just print, and do not give them any info they do not already have. NEVER give them your SS#,DOB, Employment, etc. Just give them the phone# they are calling you on for reference, and tell them from this point on ALL COMMUNICATIONS with you must cease. Now, when they violate, you can get paid!

how to stop the calls

to stop the calls first verify the information that they have there. once you have done this remind them of FDCPA rules and regulations of harrassement and that you have verified that this account does not belong to you and to please remove your number from the account. if they call again after that you need to contact a lawyer because they are not allowed to haress you. it is a crime and they are trained with this information.
