PARKWAY MORTGAGE, FIRST UNION , HOMEQ SCREWING MORE AND MORE
In 1999 wde fininancede our house with Parkway Mortgage with John McShane as the representive, His words "We don't sell any of our mortgages" andI specificly asked about any prepayment penalitys there were susposed to be 3% the 1st year 2% the second and 1% the 3rd. Well POOF in 30 days ours was sold to First Union. Then about 6 months later "sold" to HomEq.
We got behind due to a death in the family but always paid our late charges.
In November of 2001 as intrest rates had gone down I approached a local bank to refinance. When we got our payoffamount it was for 7000.00 more then we borrowed! After too many phone calls to count and the help of THE ONE GOOD PERSON AT THAT HELL HOLE.
We got the payoff amount down to only $281.00 more then what we borrowed.
It just dosent add up 24 payments and it cost me more to pay off then we borrowed?????
My banker looked at everything and between Parkways cost and the cost just to payoff Homeq The loan cost me (not counting intrest) over $10,000.00 in 2 years.
My attorny told me also if I had recorded my conversations with Mr. McShane from Parkway mtg that I could go to court and show Parkway Mtg in Default and "probly sue them for false and misleading practices" and more then likly get my house for free.
