After I posted my complaint on Rip Off Report, I got a call from Partselect.com saying it was refunding my money and that it was all a mistake. Glad I got my money back. Sorry it took posting an online complaint to get the refund, or maybe it's coincidental timing.

First, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused. It's unfortunate the part you ordered did not fix your appliance problem.
I must clarify that you are receiving a credit for your part and that your order has never indicated otherwise. I reviewed your order this morning and up until today, it simply said the return was processing - which means that we were waiting for your part to arrive and/or be processed in the warehouse. I checked with the warehouse this morning and a credit was actually issued today for your part.
Again, your order has never indicated you would not be receiving a credit (only that it was still pending) and I apologize if you were led to believe otherwise. Our policy is to reject returns on parts that have been installed, however it's clear the warehouse did not feel this was the case with your part.
Please be assured your credit is being processed, the warehouse accepted the return today and this credit will show on your credit card statement in 2-3 business days.
To ensure you receive this update, I will also have customer service contact you as well. I do hope you will consider using PartSelect in the future for your appliance repair needs. Regards.
