PartSelect claims that parts purchased for appliance repairs may be returned.  The Company has a diagnostic service online that will helps you diagnose appliance issues and then purchase the parts that need replacing. However, the parts I ordered from PartSelect did not solve the problem with my dryer so I went to the trouble to return them for a refund.  I actually tried to use the online diagnostics again and ordered the second most frequently recommended parts to solve the problem.  Those did not solve my problem either so I returned those for a refund.

However, the Firm would not provide a refund for either order indicating that I had installed the parts and they could not provide a refund for installed parts.   I believe this is part of their business model which is that they count on people ordering the wrong parts, then returning them in brand new condition.  PartSelect then re-stocks the parts and re-sells them to the next customer.   The customer attempting to diagnose their appliance issues (many times incorrectly it turns out) is duped out of their money.  Since they are not providing refunds, they are making money without delivering parts or service- a 100% gross margin business!

Next time have someone who is not a (((redacted))) try to fix your dryer!  I would be pist if I got one of the freakin parts YOU returned. Most places don't refund electrical items; especially if they were OPENED/USED!!!

Are you certified to do appliance repair? Im guessing no. Since your complaining about a return policy. As the previous poster stated, their return policy is pretty straight forward. If you did not read this information BEFORE you ordered then how exactly are THEY ripping you off?

Youre the offender here. YOU are posting a negative review because they wont just give you your way. Its called "Internet blackmail" or "social blackmail". You are posting a NEGATIVE review because they DID NOT GIVE YOU YOUR WAY!! WTF are you a child?? HOW can YOU hold them responsible for YOUR issues. You cant, youre a whiny little baby who found out that the parts company wont just let you keep ordering parts and returning them AFTER you have installed them.

Grow the hell up you child, then PAY someone to come diagnose the issue.

Here's their actual return policy which I'm SURE you're familiar with...oh, wait, you never read it did you?

30 Day Return

  • Parts must be in resalable condition to qualify.
  • All electrical parts must not have been installed.
  • Returned items that have been installed will not be returned to customer.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping returned parts back to PartSelect.
  • Any item received after 60 days of shipment date will not be refunded.

Looks pretty straighforward to me.

Colorado,
Let's say you ordered these parts and found that they looked like they'd been opened and installed...

Would that then be a Ripoff to you and you'd claim they were selling used parts?

I use this company for any parts I need and have found them to be a good company to deal with.  Their policy is pretty standard for repair parts and I have read their return policy...did YOU before you ordered and returned the parts?

I don't see the Ripoff and I wouldn't want receive any of the parts you returned as the unit you put them in or you, yourself could have caused damage.
