Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I am a relatively new small business and received a call from Payments Systems wanting to know if their representative could come and talk to me about their services. I told them fine and set up an appointment for 3:00 because my other employee comes in then and I would be able to devote all my time and attention to the rep that was coming. Well, the rep shows up at noon! Now, I realize I should I should have just told her she needed to come back but she gave me some song and dance about her appointments getting mixed up so, being the nice person I am, I didn't ask her to come back. So, that meant I was taking calls, taking care of customers, etc all while trying to listen to her. (which I truly believe was intentional!) She made numerous promises about saving me money, and I inquired about the 500 Gift Cards that I currently am using and I told I wouldn't go any farther if I couldn't use them and of course, she "guaranteed" me they would be able to re-program them so they could be used with their equipment. Well, what she failed to disclose to me was, I would have to send ALL the cards to their Credit Card affiliate to "test" and see if it was possible for re-programming and if it WAS possible, it would cost $.25 PER CARD! Now, the sales rep in their corporate office assured me they would reimburse me for the that expense and the expense to ship all the cards. Why should I have to lay money out for that at all????

One of the other issues I am currently having is the $595 fee to cancel the current processing company I am with...I show the rep my current contract and the cancellation fee and she gets on her phone and calls someone from her company about the fee and he would check and verify that information....he calls her back and advises it would only be $375 because I wouldn't be cancelling my website and web hosting that I also have with my current company. So, that is the amount she put on my contract with Payment Systems. Two days later after receiving my new terminal from Payment Systems, I received a call from my current company and they advised it would cost the $595 just to cancel the credit card processing alone. I called Anthony Williams (the sales rep) and advised him of this information and he advised he would have to talk to his manager to get this resolved....

I have been waiting over 2 weeks to hear back from him regarding this issue!!! I have emailed Mr Williams several times with no response. I have called their customer service department about this and was promised a call back which I never received. I have been signed up with for exactly one month and their equipment still sits on the floor in the box because these issues have not been resolved. I have informed their customer service department again today that I feel they lied and deceived me and it's been nothing but a scam and that I wanted ALL contracts cancelled and that I did NOT want to do business with them. I am now waiting for a call from their cancellation department and was advised it could take a week!!

In summary, I was lied to by Vanessa Svec (the rep that came to my business), given the roun around by customer service, and completely blown off by Anthony Williams (sales). My experience with this company has been awful from the first day. I am done with this company. I will also be reporting them to the BBB. I not only a business owner but qa consumer

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sat, May 05, 2012

I worked for a while for Payment Systems as an independent contractor.  I received about 3 hours of training and then
went out and sold.  Every customer I sold to was dissatisfied.  I sold based on the training I was given and everyone I sold to had a higher fees plus a ridiculous rental agreement.  Contact the Attorney General of California.  If enough businesses do hopefully they will be shut down and fined.  I believe their Dallas office is done.  The BBB has stopped accepting complaints since the company has not responded to the last 82 of them.  This company is a flat out scam.  To any current employees, you would be doing less harm to just steal the 200 to 500 directly from the business owner to match your commission than trying to sell a contract that will cost them thousands.
