Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On August 31, 2012 I got a website out of my Lexmark manual because I couldn't scan from my Lexmark Pinter, scanner.  I found a number on a Lexmark site that I called and ended up with support I thought was through Lexmark.  It turned out to be this company in California called pcrevital, and they told me I had a major problem, and it would cost me $120.00, and they would need to access my Mac, and they needed my administrative password, e-mail address, and password.  I agreed still thinking they were affiliated with Lexmark, and ended up giving them my debit card number. The person I dealt with on the phone asked for my phone number so they could call back when they were done, and this is how I got the 661-748-0240 number, which I tried calling a few days later and got the message "your call can't go through because this is a Skype phone.  I watched what they were doing, downloading drivers and such, and eventually this support person called back and said they were done.

A couple days later I tried scanning with my Mac, and it wouldn't work.  This is when I tried calling the number I mentioned above and got the Skype phone message.  I then looked in the Lexmark manual again and got a phone number which I called and told them what was going on, the person I was talking to told me that they provide free support.  Hearing this is what raised the red flag and I got very suspicious.  I got a phone number for pcrevital off one of the receipts I printed out from the transaction with them, and was told they would call me back, but I didn't.

I was very suspicious at this point and decided to go to my bank and get there opinion.  Mik West, at First National Bank of the Rockies is the lady I talked to and she said we could dispute it, and thats what I decided to do.  I also went to a computer technician and asked his opinion.  He recommended I reload the operating system, and charged me $200.00.  I paid $1300.00 for this MacBook Pro and it's just over a year old.  If there is some one that can help I feel I shouldn't have even had to pay for the techs service, not to mention this computer is just not the same as it was before all of this.
