About 4mo ago we had are Meter changed by PG&E to there new smart meter of corse not at are request.the very next month One of are nabors and us recieved high bills of 730 dollars.we both reported it and were told they would look in to it.WE were also told they would send someone out.we never seen any one and my nabor asked how did the guy get in the back since thats were mine is and my gate is locked. Now this was during the summer and we were trying to not even use are airconditioner.this shocked me.we then recieved a letter stating this is true and you can pay in payments or everything will be turned of so we made payments.every bill since then has been about 350-400 dollars with out me using anything now my Direct Nabor Greg stated his bills were fine about 170. a month.

today i recieved another bill for 350 and at times this month my house has been at 60 degrees and i have small children this shocked me again so I stepped out side to look at the meter my meter was turning so fast I couldn't even count the numbers as it turned.I looked at my Nabor Greg and his is barly turning. The only thing I had on inside was the icebox. which is suppose to be a energy saver. I went inside and unpluged it and looked for anything else then went back outside it was still turning fast.so we called PG&E and they still have not came and cheched it they keep saying someone will be out my house is freezing and I still cannot afford my bill I dont know what to do.

You should contact the California PUC (Public Utilities Commission) and let them know that PG&E has not responded to your request to investigate energy usage and billing. Their web site is http://www.cpuc.ca.gov/ You might want to go through your house and unplug everything, turn off furnace and make sure nothing could possibly be drawing power, then check the meter again. I'd also contact PG&E again and request they come out and check your meter and your energy usage. Good luck to you.
