Philippes Watches of Beverly Hills Philippe Briest - be careful.
Here is their tactic:They buy watches from the public and tell you it is worth WAY less than it really is. So, basically they give you next to nothing.
Then, the sell the watches for exorbitant prices. These are USED watches.
So, used watches that you could get on eBay for a fraction of the price, they sell in their store.
So, here is the secret:
Sell your watches yourself on eBay - you'll get a whole lot more money.
Buy watches on eBay - you'll pay a whole lot less.
Steer clear of this ripoff joint and you'll be better off. They were very very rude and arrogant to me and I am sick of this place. My opinion is to STAY AWAY!!!!

This is clearly a FAKE complaint made by a competitor in order to defame our business. Future customers please be aware. We have an A+ Rating with the better business bureau and 100% positive ebay feedback for over almost 15 years, no complaints ever!
It is nice that the internet can be used to find out information on businesses, but unfortunately we have to deal with unreasonable/Malicious people in the process too, as is life. I apologize in advance that you have to read through this.
To the person who wrote this posting, or anyone that is questioning our buying a selling habits, if you do not understand that re-sale businesses like us are established to turn a profit, I am not sure what to say, but we offer what we consider to be "fair market prices" on any merchandise you are looking to sell when people ask. "Fair prices" are dictated by supply and demand, plain and simple.
Of course we buy it for less than we plan on selling it for, we have to make money to stay in business, but our markups are fair.
We do our best to show you BEFORE you sell, what other people "ask" for similar pre-owned merchandise, then give you an opinion on what we think we can sell it for based on it's condition. After that, we then tell you how much we want to pay for it to stock it as inventory. You can then make an educated decision on how to proceed.
We value full transparency in that regard and ALWAYS encourage you to try and cut out the middle man and sell it on ebay yourself or to a "private party" or "friend" first before you sell it to us.
Ebay is a great place for people that have experience using it, but on high value items, there is a lot of fraud and risk involved, so we encourage you to be careful if you plan on excepting electronic payments in that fashion.
Ultimately, if this was a "real complaint" than I would kindly ask that the person who posted it provide this forum with their proper full name, documentation, a receipt, or anything for that matter showing that we did business together, in order to validate your claims.
As they sit now, this can only be considered defamatory jargon most likely posted by another competitor in order to maliciously hurt our business.
Prospective clients reading this should feel comfortable knowing that we are reputable dealers that have been in the trade for almost 25 years and value repeat business. We take the time to write this rebuttal in order to bring THE TRUTH forward, and respectfully ask that you use your own best judgement when evaluating a complaint, in order to decipher what is real and what is fraudulent. The ripoffreport.com will not pull things down even if they are fake, they say so in their verbiage.
Again I apologize to all of our future customers that have to take the time to read these rebuttals. Constructive criticism is always appreciated but this report is clearly made out of spite and lacks any evidence to back up it's claim, so please be aware.
