On 10/16/14 Carol Mondragon contacted me for resort accomodations at Wyndham Grand Desert in Las Vegas, NV for 3 night stay for a Robert McClish out of Lima Ohio (her brother).  I had to verify with Ms Mondragon as this was within a 15 day windo and wyndham's polocy is all points are lost.

  • If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so 15 days or more in advance of your check-in date to prevent a 100% forfeiture of the points associated with the reservation.

Ms Mondragon assured me paperwork would be filled and as well as payment by paypal that night.  She continued to come up with excuses day after day as to why payment not yet sent etc.  finally she said her brother was not going but yet when I spoke with brother he indicated she booked him at Excalabur in Las Vegas.  Once again another deception.  Unsure if brother was involved with this transaction or if fraud was being created strickly by her.  Brother is a car salesman with Kerns Checy near Lima Ohio.

 

I personally lost my points at Wyndham over this transaction as I trusted her to do what she said.

Examples of emails: 10/17/14 Hi jay, I am so sorry I have had a family emergency with my mother today so limited phone service/internet just stepped out I will be into paypal late tonight. Thanks jay.

I have all emails indicating agreement and confirmation.

Per Ms Mondragon on 11/4/14

You do all you have to me but Robert McClish never had contact with you. I told you he was not traveling. You had my name and totally that was a booking I had made

 

History of emails:

 

10/16 booked in mcclish name with addr (he will be involved unless there was fraud)

 

10/17 inquired where payment was

 

10/21 you said would be that night paid

 

10/22 more excuses for not sending funds

 

10/23 email says brother not going

 

10/23 another person is going and I would be informed when paperwork is done

 

10/29 email saying I was not forgotten all was coming

 If you enjoy reading fiction and confusion from an unknowledgeable individual, then read this complaint thoroughly.  The saying is the guilty always attempts to confuse the issues.

 

Let’s try to list out in an elementary fashion so all can comprehend.

            VRBO.com is a listing agent where inquiries can be made to property owners.  My property is owned at Wyndham Grand Desert, Las Vegas.  Rentals are not handled through VRBO.

            10/16/15 Carol Mondragon prepares an inquiry through listing agent VRBO for a stay in Las Vegas for her brother.

            Ms. Mondragon speaks also by phone with owner Mr. Brown.  Mr. Brown indicates there is one 2-bedroom unit showing at the Wyndham property for time frame sought. Mondragon’s brother is in need of a unit for son’s birthday. Mr Brown obviously owns at Grand Desert.  Mr. Brown indicates to Ms. Mondragon that we are within a 15 day window to arrival and to reserve he normally collects funds up front. The 15 day forfeiture is Wyndham's policy.There is only one unit showing and this could be gotten by someone else if not reserved now.  He continues to inquire as verification “Are you sure he is going? “, “Are you sure he is going? “Because if I reserve this now and he doesn’t go effective the next day 10/17/15, I will lose my funds”. “OH YES, ABSOLUTLY HE IS GOING” she says. There is one unit so Mr. Brown trusts that PayPal would be sent that evening as requested and acknowledged by Ms Mondragon.  Mr. Brown books the unit and trusts again that Ms. Mondragon will do what she says. Funds never sent just excuses given in emails.

            Eventually after chasing Ms. Mondragon down for funds and paperwork, Mr. Brown is told brother not going.  Mr. Brown speaks to brother as all brother's information was given to him evening of 10/16/15.  Brother says he is going but to Excalibur.

            Ms. Mondragon now says another person will go, a Marcie Brown.  Of course that didn’t work either.

As stated before, Mr. Brown is out his funds as there is total forfeiture of his funds to Wyndham due to the 15 day window being in effect.

This person or so called company doesn’t appear to be accredited as no member identification can be located as an example from IATAN.  Would you want a person of this fashion handling your travel plans and money? I wouldn’t? 

Once again, I have learned my lesson!!!

Once again Jay has stated facts with the truth handled recklessly in my opinion. I did find his listing off of VRBO which maybe he does not use their services any longer. This is the only complaint I have ever been associated with thru all my years in business. To my amazement I am finished with his opinions and would never rip anyone off in my business nor personal life. I stand by my statements if he was the business man he claims then why not have a contract and exchange of funds or at least a card on file to charge. Jay I wish you well and have a blessed day! I will not no longer rebuttal any of his opinions I have a wonderful life and no energy for individuals that seem to fault with others when actually I believe they are unhappy with their own business tactics. If you had a contract or funds Jay I would say you a great businessman! Good Luck Jay.

Pizazz Travel out of Pittsburg Ca appears to be a skeptical company and is unclear as to their registrtation within Ca and even in their locality.  This Carol Mondragon appears to say whatever even though she has her own facts confused.  Be weary of dealing with an individual (company) like that.  She contracted for services and I trusted her to follow through with her committment as expense was spent on my end.  She is confused as to VRBO and Wyndham properities. VRBO is a listing company and some owners use them to collect for rentals. I own at Wyndham and all is handled through them. I am billed and I collect from my customers. Once again, if within a 15 day window to arrival if anything is canceled I lose my money. She misrepresented herself and her brother (client) in the transaction.  She jumped the gun in contracting.  Emails are construed as a binding contract.  All emails have been retained and can be freely requested as they speak for themselves concerning whole transaction and her neglect to follow through with her own committments. There were even printed out forms from Wyndham that she received showing penalities to myself if she did not follow through with what she said. She attempted to slander me on the internet of which I have responded to other sites. If I wanted to travel to Ca to collect my $400.00 I could certainly do that but would that be cost effective.   Be weary in dealing with individuals that have this sort of business attitude.  I certanly have learned once again not to trust as this has happened to me once before and I have been renting properities since 1997.  Again, all dealings are open for review with proper documentation to back them up.

I am a very respected travel agency, Pizazz Travel, with only Jay's opinion ! Yes I was going to contract Jay's rental for a client. There was never any funds paid nor contract signed. Being the business man he claims with a title as attorney, etc. there is no way he would hold a reservation without payment! My first experience of vrbo which most travel agents will not use maybe my last! I have a firm from MGM whom are more accommodating in my opinion. This complaint speaks volumes of Jay's character, in my opinion! I am very accommodating to my clients with all of their travel needs whether it is air, hotel, land, etc. and will continue! I have been in business 10+ years and ill 6 months but still have a tremendous base of clientele. I was so sadden to see this complaint yesterday! I wish Jay well in his business practices but let's be real in my opinion as a businessman with all his rules and regulations he would not hold a reservation without payment or contract. God bless you Jay.
