Complaint Review: Poggi Michael Michael Poggi Poggi's Animal House - Nationwide

Michael Poggi will say whatever it takes to get your money. We contacted him in efforts to purchase a service animal for a disabled veteran. We had questions he was semi rude but he said too many people contact then with no intent on purchasing they just too many questions. We bought from him to make our toddler happy. We were scammed out of her life savings. When we wanted answers Michael verbally abused us and threatened us with violence if we made a report about him. The voice mails are available and we will be making them availble where he threatens our life. He was so quick to close a sale that I'm not sure if he knows what he's talking about. ----------

Saw something we wanted to share with other groups: "During my search to buy a marmoset finger monkey I have ran into all kinds of outrageous salesmen & saleswomen. The last time I tried buying one was from for lack of better words a character named Michael poggi (if that is his real name). Anyway so found him online. Decided to give him a try although my first impression was that this is another scam. Initially you will notice throughout his website all the spelling errors run on sentences misspelled words (Nigerian scam artist 101 use WayBackMachine) etc. Something else that stood out was that the terrible un-spell checked site states they are available all the time it said 24hrs per day (lie). In light of these red flags my family & I decided to move forward w/finally getting a primate pair. Here is what happened. We initially paid for or thought we paid for them w/our CC. Turns out it didn't go through. We were instructed to pay them 1/2 with a Vanilla Visa prepaid credit card & the balance was to be wired. Never had done this before & after verifying our CC wasn't charged we paid w/the Vanilla & wired the other 1/2. Thought that would be everything. Michael Poggi you SOB karma remember. After paying all that money & when we thought ours was on the way here comes Poggi again asking for 30% more because there was a hold up in the delivery something about papers needing to be filed. As soon as we were sucked/scammed out of the additional 30% we were notified that our credit card that we originally gave him was charged the full amount all this happened within 48 hours.

This was one of the most horrific / frightening online experiences my family has even been through. We ended up buying & receiving a marmoset capuchin & lemur from (((REDACTED))) & plan on buying a mini horse sugarglider & some birds. Beware of the Michael Poggis of the world.
