I ordered a transmission from Josh at Powersource and he told me it would be shipped that same day. I informed my mechanic that the transmission would be there within the next couple of days so he began to pull the old one out. A week and a half goes by and still no transmission so I contacted Josh and asked him to send the tracking information, that is when he tells me that the transmission was out of stock. In the meantime I am paying for a rental car while waiting on this transmission.
Next, transmission finally arrives, approximately 2 weeks later than I was told. My mechanic installs the transmssion and it is BAD! I contact Josh and he contacts the warranty company, and for a few weeks they play cat and mouse with my mechanic, all the while, I am still paying for a rental car. Finally the warranty company agrees to send a new transmission to my mechanic but they will not cover the full cost of installation. So, they can send out a DEFECTIVE product and hold the customer responsible for part of the install. Their reasoning is that the warranty only covers $50 per hour (which we all know here are no mechanics that work for anything even close to that!) I can understand that the warranty will only cover $50 an hour if the transmission is in need of repair after use! But sending a DEFECTIVE product and holding the customer responsible is UNETHICAL and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!
I would not suggest purchasing anything from Powesource as they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!
