I used priceline.com to order tickets from Phoenix, Az to Philadelphia, Pa. I filled in all the information and offered a price. I received an answer back saying that my price was not accepted, but it included a counteroffer for "my trip to Philadelphia".

The price seemed fair so, after reading all of their warnings and NOT changing any of my other information, I accepted their price. My confirmation came back with a note to "see your complete flight itinerary and receipt for your trip to PHILADELPHIA below.

Also "More savings for your trip to PHILADELPHIA from priceline Hotels". Since at no time did I change my arrival airport I didn't bother to even check on the airport. All changes to my itinery should be made only by me!

If they (priceline) changed anything as important as an airport, you should be notified in BIG letters about it..like "notice, the airport you have designated for arrival has been changed to Newark". This is not done by them.

When I looked over my itenary I saw, to my dismay, that they had changed my arrival airport to NEWARK! I called them and told them I had proof of every input (which I do, I printed each screen) and nowhere did I change my airport from Philadelphia to Newark. The person I spoke with just kept insisting I did and by the way, was very rude.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and they kept repeating no way could the tickets be changed or refunded and kept insisting it was my change. I called to cancel the amount on my credit card but it would take 10 days and a review board and fearing I would not be able to get tickets elsewhere in time, I reluctantly told the credit card company not to cancel the fare.

I am now faced with the mess of trying to figure how to get from Newark to where I am heading. From Philadelphia, it was easy. From Newark there aren't many options. I now have to rent a car at Newark to get where I am going... at considerable cost. So the money I supposedly saved has vanished and not only am I paying more, I am terribly inconvenienced. This should not be allowed to happen!
