I recieved a phone call from a girl last night named Kelley and she had left a message for my wife. She stated that she saw my wife's application on Monster.com I immediatly thought that this was a mistake and that she was calling for me since I am looking for mortgage work.

When she called back she stated that her name was Kelly and that she saw my resume on Monster.com and apologized profusely for mistakenly thinking that my wife was looking for a job.

She stated that she was very impressed with my resume and that the company that she is recruiting for was doing a major expansion project in Orange County California. She stated that Primerica was looking for Branch Managers. She stated that the company does mortgages and all kinds of financing.

I assumed that the company was of the same type of platfrom as Benificial Mortgage and it peaked my curiosity. I asked her if the position was base plus commission or straight commission.

Kelly refused to answer my questions and said to just come down to Irvine to check out the operation and that there would be a presentation with several other people and that it was at 7.00 pm. I thought that since I was interviewing in the area for some loan companies that going down to check out their operation would not be a problem.

It did not hit me until I began driving down to Irvine that I became suspicious and told my wife over the phone that something did not ring right about this company and I could not put my finger on it. I said that I hoped that it was not some MLM scam.

When I got there, there was a greeter at the door who promptly directed me to the back office and stated that there were going to many that were going to show up. I immediatly asked him if this was a homebased business. He stated that those question would be answered during the presentation.

When I walked into the office several people walked up to me to shake my hand and immediatly gave me a nametag. All of them were way too friendly and still very vague about the so-called opportunity.

I finally started to become annoyed. I could tell by the people who were there that even though they were wearing suits and ties that they were dirtbags. They were people that were clearly not of the caliber that I have worked with in the mortgage business, I could sense it.

I finally asked one of the greeters to tell me what kind of company this was. He must of realized that I was serious because he brought over one of the recruiters. I point blank asked if this was a commission based business and if they really did loans. The woman who I asked said that they did do loans and all kinds of financial planning and that I could work from my home or the office and that it was commission based.

At that I removed my nametag and handed it to her abruptly and said, "thank you for wasting my time". As I left there were several people walking in. I asked them if they were here to interview and they stated that they were. I told them not to waste their time that this was a scam.

These people lied and wasting an hour of my time. When I got home I typed "Primerica" into google and got this website. My instincts were right. This company is garbage and nothing more then a cheap MLM scam.

How people can lie like this and sleep at night is beyond me. I feel sorry for those who are taken in by this. I am one of the luckey ones. Being a salesman and a successful one at that I can smell BS a mile away.

I was looking for a job on-line also and got hit by these jerks. I drove across town wasting my time and money for gas to listen to them try and sell me on their program. It seems kind of like a pyramid finacial program. You sell insurance and financial services to your unsespecting freinds and everyone along your chain gets a cut. Then you sign others up so you can get a cut of their rip-offs also.
