*Assessor met with owner & kept a $300,000 completed house off tax role for 2 years because the owner is a wealthy friend. Parcel I'd is 97-120.03 *Assessor made aware 4 hrs ago & has kept 16ac property in greenbelt (huge tax break last 4 hrs) under agriculture, the property doesn't qualify. It's est. Over 15ac under water, she claims she's raising horses on it. Not unless they are sea horses. She was a campaign contributor for the assessor. Parcel I'd is 77-49.02 *Assessor is keeping a property in greenbelt (huge tax break).

The property doesn't qualify, any property previously subdivided can't be in greenbelt. He is a friend of the assessors & is aware because the assessor had lunch with him to discuss issue & kept him in greenbelt. Parcel I'd is 69-172.01 million dollar property!!! *You wonder why we have budget problems. These are the properties I'm aware of, how many more are there? Others are paying their taxes, why can't they? *Assessor office discriminates based on sex, race & pay. The office is also a hostile work environment.

*Assessor laid off employees & said it was due to budget & lack of work. The assessor didn't have a budget at the time. One of the employees he laid off is running against him in the 2012 campaign. The other employees had filed complaints with HR. *The assessor got rid of one department completely (mapping). He sent two employees to Nashville to train$$$ to do mapping & is giving them a raise. One of the people who was laid off in the mapping department was already making less than these two & had already done one of the replacers jobs.

So if its budget would it not make since to keep the one already trained making lower pay??? *The remaining employees are scared to death to say anything for fear of loosing their jobs. *Several complaints were made to HR about the way the office is being ran, but the employees were told that the assessor is an elected official that their hands are tied to do anything. EEOC complaints have been filed & report have been made to the FBI to investigate the assessor & his companions. What is it gonna take people? Really?

I should be more specific. When I said the house was kept off the tax role for two years, I meant that the house was complete and should have been added and prorated in 2010 but wasn't added until sometime in 2011.

My computer changed years to hours so there was a typo. The assessor was made aware 4 years ago not 4 hours ago about the property being covered by a pond. There was a huge tax break for four years not four hours.
