Public Motors False and deceptive advertising Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Norwalk California
This company is a scam. They advertise vehicles that do not exist, or "have just been sold". These vehicles appear in the the Recycler,Auto Trader, Ebay, etc..
If you visit one of their locations, they want all your personal information (name, address, drivers license #, etc.) before you can look at any vehicles. I have never encountered Any dealer who does this. (What do they do with this personal information?) They say it is for security reasons. There are vehicles on their lots, but not the ones advertised. Their "starting auction price" is over 2 times the current Blue Book prices.
Just to check, I called different locations about 12 different vehicles. All, I repeat All, had "just" been sold.
The BBB, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Affairs, and local law enforcement should all be involved concerning Public Motors.
