The 204 area code is in CANADA!! And if you browse this website, you will see a gazillion ripoffreports about fake money orders and cashiers checks coming out of Canada. The checks are NEVER good! Contact your bank or police department and ask what you should do with the check. But do NOT attempt to deposit it as you will lose a lot of money!!!!

My 83 year old mother received a similar letter stating that her name had been drawn in a Publisher Clearing House international promotional drawing and a check for $2,850.00 was enclosed pay for clearance fees and taxes. As soon as it was deposited or cashed the check for $195,000.00 would be sent. Bill Connecticut USA
