They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Gene Steinberg Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion Rebuttal: Quantex support doesn't exist because the company is long out of business. I ran a story about it on CNET early in 2001, where I'm a Contributing Editor in the hardware area. My personal opinion is that computer buyers shouldn't avoid smaller or unknown companies unless they have a first-rate reputation and a reasonable degree of longevity. Stick with the majors, such as Apple, Compaq (even though it's merging with HP), Dell, Gateway and Sony. You may not always get all the technical support you want (service seems to get worse rather than better), but you will have a company who will be there to answer the phone when you call.
