I had just read another rip off report on the same vacation package I have, I wanted to cancel it and when I tried, the operator told me that they can't give refunds on my partial payment. I received the video and package in the mail, read it, and found that my "free cruise" was not free at all, that it would cost $198 per person. this was not the deal on the phone and on the web advertisement. The advertisement was a pop up on the internet. It said "You've just won a free Florida Cruise Vacation".

When I called the 1-800 number with the "winning" code, their was no mention that the cruise was not free, but if I wanted to get this free cruise, I had to purchase a vacation package at the Ramada Plaza Resort in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. They were offering it as a great deal, 4 days and 3 nights in South Florida, 2 days and 2 nights of luxurious cruising on the S.S. OceanBreeze with a stop in Nassau, then back to Port Everglades. Then, to finish off the vacation, a 4 day and 3 night Orlando portion of the "Imperial Majesty" First Class Vacation, which can be used in conjunction with the Florida/Cruise vacation, or it can be taken at another time.

I was supposed to be able to purchase this at an extremely dicounted price, available to me only during this phone conversation. Supposedly worth over $3000, they were going to charge me $498 for this trip for two, and upgrade it to four people for "only" 698. Since I had Two kids at the time, I decided on the trip for four option.

When I perused the package I received in the mail, I realized that it wasn't precisly as I had thought, the cruise not being free, and tried to cancel the deal. I was refused. Since reading poor Alana's report on the same deal, and knowing that I had purchased a trip from hell, I am going to try again. Thank you Alana, for letting us know what we are buying into when we take these "great" offers from the Pirates employed by the Ramada Plaza Resorts.

I had forgotten to mention that they continually tried to sell me great deals everytime I tried to find out more about the vacation package or tried to cancel, and in the original conversation, since I didn't have enough $ in the credit card account to pay in full they took what was left, I'm not sure how they found out how much was left, but after getting my card number, they took $174 out as a payment. this is what I tried to get back, and they refused. I asked the bank about getting the money back, they told me the company has to refund it. I felt like I was stuck with the package whether I wanted it or not.
