Ramada Plaza Resorts ripoff consumer rip-off fraud Ft. Lauderdale Florida
Described and stated on the telephone by a Keith Duran on 05/29/02, that my family would be staying at a 4 Star Resort. This a Ramada & Disney World Choice Hotel special promotion.
Then, when you reserve accomodations, you find out that they will not guarantee the 4 Star Ramada Plaza Resort accommodations. You could be put up at any hotel or motel.
I am filing a complaint with the AG of Florida.

I would also like to validify your complaint about the 4-star rating for the Ramada hotel you stayed at. Our vacation was purchased through Walt Disney Travel and I thought as a sure bet we could rely upon having a clean, comfortable inexpensive room at a Ramada Suites adjacent to the Anaheim Stadium. I was disgusted from the moment I walked in the door of the hotel. The room smelled musty, akin to a cat pee smell, even though the room was obviously refurbished within the past year. I should have right then gone to the management but we were tired traveling with our 2 & 4 yr old children from Seattle to Salt Lake City and finally at LAX by midnight-after being at work since 5AM that morning. Then I was horrified when I took my shoes off and stepped on the nasty carpet. It felt like grimy goop had almost dried up on it. Thank God at least the beds appeared to be clean (I don't even want to think what a DNA test would've showed on those things). The next morning I laid the bed sheets on the floor because I didn't want the kids to play on that nasty rag. I took a shower in the brand new bathroom only to find the water flooded the floor. And when we finally escaped that dirt trap to go out, upon our return that night the shower curtain had been replaced (I don't know why they were so overly concerned about that) they left the d**n thing in the middle of the floor in the bathroom! I had to hang it up. Then it was like pulling teeth to get towels. The housekeeping never brought clean ones, and when calling the front desk about it we still had to wait an hour (you'd think after the 6th of the 7 days we'd stay they would've figured out we prefer at least one new towel left behind each day). Then there were the rowdy no-good brats upstairs that came on our 4th night. It was Wrestlemania XXVVIVXXX with African Jungle Animals for hours every night around midnight. The management didn't have the good sense after calling 10 times to move the freaking beast tenants above us. I will never stay at a Ramada again, nor will I trust WDT's "Good Neighbor Hotel" standards. Also, reading those traveler coupon books at Denny's I realized how much the nights were costing us, and we were SOOOO ripped off-we could've stayed a the MUCH nicer hotel down the road for the $600 a week we were being charged for that dump! When I complained to WDT, they said they would have to take an "investigative report of the hotel". The least they could've done was credited us a percentage of the hotel stay. But every time I've called back to complain again, I keep being told the same thing-that trip was 6 months ago! -Unhappy with WDT in Seattle
