Ramada Riports Fraudlent Lauderdale Ripoff Central Ft. Lauderdale Florida
I purchased a vacation package from Ramada Resort in 11/28/00 and was unable to use due to unfortunate circumstances in my family. So, I called the Ramada to cancel the vacation and was informed that no refund could be issued to me. Of course, I informed the customer service representative of the circumstances that I encountered. I've called the Ramada at least once a month for 4 years trying to get a refund.
I've encountered many rude and belligerent reps that offered insensitive alternatives in order to get me to extend the package. For example, hitchhiking to Florida or selling personal items in order to raise money for the cost of the extension. I spoke to Lynn a supervisior, Sharlotta, Rochelle a customer service supervisior, Maureen, and David were among the worst that I've encountered. I have spent many many hours trying to get a refund to no avail. One day a spent a total of 9 hours getting transferred, disconnected and even hung up on. I have tried the nice approach the not so nice approach and nothing have worked.
I tried the stay on the phone for 45 minutes method but the reps just hung up. On of the reps mistook me for another customer requesting a refund so apparently they handle this everyday. I am certain that they are training employees on how to handle customer that are insistent on a refund. I am not sure if there is anyone out there that can help me but if so I would greatly appreciate it. I feel extremely violated and dehumanized by this experience. I am still unable to believe that this company still exists. Everyone could provide any advice please do so.
