Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had no idea that Teleglobe/Ramada Plaza Resorts was such a shady company. I had no idea that our managers had previously operated a call centre in Toronto. Teleglobe has only been open since February 2006, and hundreds of people have been in and out of there, hoping that the job was as great as they made it seem in the interview. I am one of those people.

I worked there in hopes to make the big bucks...their help wanted ad in the local newspaper seemed perfect, it quoted "$630 per week!". However, I also should have realized there was something wrong considering they have their ads appearing EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Anyway, here's the inside scoop.

The "Promotions Directors" which call you...don't you think someone with the title of "Promotions Director" should have went to college for Travel and Tourism programs? Or at least have formal training about vacations and travel? APPARENTLY these people don't.

All you have to be is LITERATE because all you do is read a script! And they have "rebuttles" to any question or concern. The "Promotions Directors" are just random people who need jobs (single parents, students, etc) and are brainwashed everyday to believe that they have authority, they have power, and that what they're giving is amazing.

So please, being an ex-employee looking out for people who still work there as PD's, all you have to do is say "I'm not interested" and even mention ripoffreport.com. Don't take out your frustrations on them. If you want to ask for someone, ask for either Anthony Donato or David Grooner. They are the managers/owners of the call centre.

The employees are constantly being talked down to by Mr. Donato. He also makes it seem as though it is the "Promotions Directors" fault if there aren't enough vacations being sold. He repeats the same information everyday, and tries to justify his "wisdom" and "knowledge" since he claims to have been doing this for 27 years, and has even worked for Bell Canada. Funny how his knowledge is composed of arbitrary statistics that he makes up every day. Oh and his favourite quote is something along the lines of "Keep it simple - people are idiots!"

To all the ex-employees/current employees: you are better than this. You will find better, and you will be better off with a legitimate company. (I say this company is illegitimate because if you call up Visa or Master Card and ask to verify that Ramada Plaza Resorts Orlando-Ft. Lauderdale Vacations is an authorized merchant, they are unable to authorize it.)

To all the people who have bought their familiarization trips, if you don't end up cancelling, I hope your trip was okay. And to those who have cancelled based on what you've read on this site, you're probably better off. Hopefully this sheds some light.
