RealNetworks dishonest, fraudulant billing, and being told different stories by different ppl....a pure ripoff! Internet
For the second time, RealNetworks has billed me for something I did not have. The first time was with a RealRhapsody free trial, which I cancelled 4 days before the trial was over, yet they didn't cancel it, and it turned full program, and that cost an overdraft.
They eventually did refund what I was charged for but nothing else. Now, I've found another charge by them for $13.78, and STILL haven't been told what the charge was for, and I have no knowledge of purchasing anything from them....I use MusicMatch JukeBox as my media player.
RealNetworks has nothing to offer me. They have since reimbursed the $13.78, and I have written documentation from them stating that if I sent them the requested information via fax, it would be forwarded to the appropriate person(s) for review. On Tuesday evening of this week (6.14.05) I spoke with one thier "tier two customer support" and he backed up what I already been told....send the info about the overdrafts etc., and if I could get in done by the next day, I would have the $60 they cost me, depostied back into my bank account.
All that was done on the 15th at my bank as far as the faxed info etc. Tonight, I called just to be sure everything was being handled as promised(I was told that once they recieved my fax, they would send me a confirmation letter, but has arrived yet), and I got the run around by three people who obviously were in India, and could barely speak English, and was at this point told that ALL of the communications prior to that one, I was given false information about any reimbursment(s)!!!!!! If you have RealPlayer, I suggest you unistall it immediately, cancel any accounts you have from them, so you don't become a victim like I was.....for the second time!!!!!
