rebategiant.com Hotbooks.com and BSDBooks.com ... they are all the same company Order once and they automatically sign you up for all three of their sites and charge your credit card $9.95 monthly for each site ... UNAUTHORIZE CHARGES OF $29.85 every month. Internet
I am a teacher and ordered a book for one of my students from Hotbooks.com. The cost was reasonable at $6.95 for the book. I paid using my credit card. At the end of the transaction, they asked me if I would participate in a survey concerning the usefulness of their website. I did.
My credit card was immediately charged $6.95 for the book and 3 days later the book showed up in the mail. All was well. Until ....
The following month I checked my bank account statement (on-line) and found a charge from Hotbooks.com for $9.95 on the 22nd of the month. In addition, I found another $9.95 charge from RebateGiant.com that was being posted the 14th of every month.
I immedately looked up their information on the internet and contacted them about these unauthorized charges. This continued for 3 months. Finally after numerous calls, some lady I spoke to agreed to stop these charges. She stated: "Yeah you caught us. We automatically enroll you in all our services when you order something using a credit card." She then asked "Do you want to be disenrolled from all services?" Of course I said yes .... and they refunded me only $9.95. Guess I am out the rest of the money!
