This company is recycling old debt they have purchased from BMG Music Club.  In my case it is (a) too old (more than 7 years)  and (b) fell under bankruptcy protection.   They are posting the debts to credit files as NEW, which is referred to as recycling and is illegal.  They are making no attempt to contact the individuals, which is also a violation of posting a collection on a credit report.   In my case, my current contact info is correct in my credit file and it is too easy for a legitimate collection agency to contact me, if they actually wanted to.  RMGs end game is to catch people by surprise down the road when they apply for a loan, so those people in quick desperation to get the item removed, will pay the unjust debt.

I found them on my Transunion report, and my other reports were clear.  It had been on my Transunion since July 2012.  When I filed a dispute with Transunion, Transunionthey removed the bogus claim.  Within one week of Transunion removing the bogus collection (January 2014), RMG then filed a NEW collection on my Experian report....this is not a coincidence, since the one on my Transunion had been there for 2 years without any other Credit Reporting Agency having it until the moment Transunion removed it.

While RMG is using the credit reporting agencies to scam people of money, the worse culprit here is BMG Music Club itself, for selling these (many people on the net on this topic) unjust debts as debts that can be collected.
