Reliance Relocation Held stuff hostage, no paperwork, lost items, broken items, very late New Jersey
Reliance Relocation proved to be disturbingly incapable. They were hours late on pickup day (important since we were waiting for them to leave town), arrived without any paperwork, charged us extra on that day for packing supplies we had been promised were in their original quote, asked us to sign blank forms and in general didn't know what they were doing. Then, once they had our stuff, they called and asked for $500 more before they would deliver, claiming it weighed more than estimated. We didn't believe that since we had carefully weighed all of the stuff in our estimate, but they never provided any documentation. After we paid up to get our stuff back, they were still 9 days late on delivery. The trucker (an independent vendor) had no weight paperwork and said we would have to pay many more dollars to get weight paperwork.
They lost items, they broke items, and sent us through a long complicated process to file a claim. They offered less than half of the total of our losses and we would have to sign a gag order to take any settlement. We refused and would prefer to alert others about this bad company.
