I work for a family run construction company that prides ourselves on customer service and making sure the consumer is always happy. I guess I need to rethink the way I trust other business that provide a service to me. I signed up for a marketing promo that would supply us with remodel and renovations leads. When the salesman called me, Carl Kaniosky[[email protected]]seemed very down to earth and was very comparible to Service Magic in what they offered, except on the fact that instead of paying per lead we would pay a monthly amount of $200.00 and they would send us 12-15 leads. I explained to him in the beginning that I would send him a list of zip codes and like Service Magic we would only like to be associated with certain catagories. He agreed and not once did he state that the application that we were signing was bound to a 3 month contract. No where on the application states that fact anywhere.

When we received the first lead the job was not in the zip code that we provided, it was also for cleaning a deck, which for a General Contractor was not one of our categories that we signed up for.

I called Carl and told him that the zip code that we received was not one that we provided to him. He told us that the application department never received it, but yet they received everything else. The second lead, same thing, for a categoiry did not fall within the guidelines of work that a General Contractor deals with. We did receive one good lead, but not within our Zip Codes that we deal with. Carl finally narrowed down our zip codes and we did not receive any leads for 3 weeks.

I called Carl and he told me for the program to work we needed to extend our working ratios to 30-40 miles. I explained to him that because we are on the border of Washington and Oregon, we are only licensed in Oregon with the CCB. There are also licenses that each city requires to do business, the list of zip codes are defined by the licenses that we carry. We are a ligitimate business that follows the rules guided by the state of oregon.

Leads.com did not hold up to their agreement and when I questioned him on his stating that I could define my work areas with zip codes he became hostile and threatening. I told him that I could not justify staying with Leads.Com he told me that it was too bad that I signed a 3 month contract of 200.00 per month. I told him that he never once stated the terms that I was bound by and asked him where on the contract did it state it. He could not define the section. I told him that because Leads.Com did not supply me 12-15 leads in the defined areas that I requested then they did not hold up to their end of the bargain and the $200.00 was not justified. I disputted the charges and 2 other people have called since then. The customer service is frightening, how can a company stay in business when they have salesmen and customer service agents that threaten and only state, " Well you signed a contract". Clearly they did not hold up to their end of the contract, which in term deemed it voidable. Which I have tried countless times to state that fact as clear as day.

I worked with this lady and did everything possible to help her succeed. She would not listen and said she made a mistake signing up with us. We provide fantastic service, unfortunately it doesn't work for everyone. She signed a contract after she examined it closely. She also was given the product to examine completely before making a decision. When she complained we gave her a total refund. What more can a company do?

I received a call this morning by two different individuals at Leads.com apologizing profusely for the service that I received. They are contacting the visa department to disperse the funds that I have already disputed. Wow, I am in total amazement. They would not have done anything before I filed a complaint through the Rip Off Report. I really appreciate this service!
