Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My mom has been getting calls on a daily basis from Rent-A-Center, on 3201 B-4 Norcross-Tucker Road, Tucker, GA 30084. She has taken the messages and explained I was not there, but continued to get calls all day long. I have been harassed, threatened and demanded to respond. I have called them back and they could not be responsive. I have told Ryan and Freddy I am not working and do not have a phone. This phone is listed to my mom, as a reference. They are calling all my references and harassing them. This must stop!

I have also asked them NOT to CALL my references anymore and they continue anyway. I have even tried to make one payment on the account and they refused to take the money. In addition, I received a very rude call stating, They need to come and pick up the sofa and loveseat because they could use it in their own house. I am currently receiving up to 4 calls a day including the ones left on my mom's answering machine and the ones I directly take.

The threat of force is not necessary since several times they have misapplied my money to my sister's account, too many times and showed up demanding payment when they have already been paid. No employee should be able to act in this manner, I understand they are doing their job but enough is enough. Also, they gave out personal information on my account to my sister, who came in to make a payment but refused and went on to explain they can not take a payment when the account is due for another. They failed to ask for ID or any information to prove who she was and she has a different last name. I am disputing the amount of this bill too.

They have given you ammunition to use against them

The fact that you have asked them to stop calling and they still call is against company policy. Contact the home office. 1-800-275-2696. Another policy states that they have to use a message that is the same every time. They can not threaten to come pick up your stuff on a machine. If you have the message they left recorded, offer to play it for the person at H.O. The fact that they gave personal information to your sister is, again, against policy, as is asking her to make a payment on your account. If you can prove all of this, you may get a decent discount, or be able to come to some sort of agreement. They have given you ammunition to use against them. Good luck.
