I purchased an extended vehicle warranty titled "Road Shield". The insurance company which backs this plan is "Heritage Mutual Insurance Risk Retention Group, Inc." located at 1550 S. 70th Suite 101 Lincoln, NE 68506. I have had two repairs performed which were authorized by National Administrative Service Company. This company authorizes the warranty repairs but does not pay for the repairs. It has been 3-4 months since the repairs were performed which were authorized before the work was done. Every time I call the National Administrative Service Company, they acknowledge that they have the claims and the check is being processed. They state that they have no way of contacting the Insurance company which is supposed to pay the claim (write the check). Obviously a lie since they do the authorizations. The National Administrative Service Company which is located at 400 Metro Place North Suite 360 Dublin, OH 43017 will not give me any information on how to contact the insurance company or how I might file a grievance against them or how to contact the appropriate regulatory agency.
For now if you are going to purchase an extended vehicle warranty, I highly suggest that you DO NOT PURCHASE a policy that has anything to do with any of these companies:

I am in the process of finding out which government agencies in the states of Ohio and Nebraska may regulate these companies, so that I can begin legal proceedings. When I get this information, I will post it and hopefully it will be helpful to the many others who apparently have been scammed for these several thousand dollar extended vehicle warranties which only seem to be as good as the paper they are written on.

I have some good news for you to read I have been told by Ken Hilliard of Heritage (614-358-1500 ex 4134) and others that their assetts were frozen by the State of South Carolina. Apparently another lie by Heritage to avoid payments to those of us who have them coming. According to the S.C. Dpt. of Insurance, no money has been frozen. Heritage can pay claims and conduct buisness as usual. No funds have to be released by the state or any other government agency. As of today, October 7, 2007 Heritage is only under investigation for not paying for repairs that they authorized I also thought this was true due to the buzz about Heritage. But after talking directly to the state, I found this is not the case. The state of S.C. isn't going to take any more crap from Heritage. Call Mrs. pagent and tell her your problem with Heritage WE AREN'T GETTING REINBURSED BECAUSE HERITAGE DOES NOT WANT TO PAY..... PERIOD... IF HERITAGE OWES YOU MONEY FOR AN APPROVED CLAIM AND THEY WILL NOT PAY. 1. CONTACT SAHARA PAGENT AT THE SOUTH CAROLINA DPT. OF INSURANCE 803-737-6268 THIS IS A DIRECT LINE TO HER.
