The agent mentioned definitely misrepresented the benefits of this travel agency and overcharged us for the so-called benefit. It is obvious that we can receive travel prices just as cheaply through other sources without paying a $4,000 membership and $100 annual dues.
Although we signed a note of understanding that our timeshare might not be sold by this company, the agent strongly suggested that such a sale would take place, based on her personal experience. We never received any notice that anyone was even remotely interested in our timeshare and discovered that it was just a listing, like many other companies provide. There is little, if any, effort to sell the property once the up-front fee has been paid.
Based on the experiences of others and the evidence of a previous class action suit, it would appear that some in this company are performing a scam operation.
