Rob Hampton And Josie Lajoie Ripoff eBay fraud Man buys guitars and pays with fraudulent funds Dishonest buyer! Sellers beware! Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Quebec
Rob Hampton. Fraud. Claims to have manic-depressive disorder to make you feel sorry for him and lull you into submission. Then he tells you he doesn't have Paypal payment setup, asks if he can pay with a blank check (no name and address, just the bank and the account number). If you say no to that, all of a sudden he will have PayPal access.
Paypal will let you know within a month or so that they are reversing the transaction, making you responsible to pay them back, since Hampton denies ever buying the item to his credit card company that he used to pay Paypal with. Then you're stuck. Paypal wants you to pay them back since they had to credit back hampton's credit card company.
He stole $2025.00 USD from me as far as I am concerned. he has my Paul reed Smith Custom 24 quilt top in teal and I owe Paypal $2025.00.
He claims he borrowed the money from his father and has no clue as to what the problem is. Then he stops answering calls and emails.
He is not a pro, in fact, he is dumb. He gave me a phone number which matches up to the address I sent the guitar to in a reverse phone number lookup I did. If I were closer to Montreal, I'd go visit him myself and take my guitar back. But since i am not, it'll have to wait until I can visit him. And I will.
I have reported him to the FBI, the RCMP, my local police department, and more.
Beware, he is smooth. But in the end, I'll get my money or guitar back, I just hope he doesn't get you too on ebay.
