Just ordered the Canon 30D a couple days ago from Royal Camera and thank God I printed out the receipt. I never got a confirmation email which weighed on my mind. That means I also don't have an email address for them.

So I called this morning and was put through to someone who needed to verify my credit card. I also need to add that his demeanour throughout the whole conversation was atrocious.

Anyways, he tried to tell me that the Canon 30D only uses ONE specific memory card (CRAP) so I needed to buy one. He said it uses Compact Flash which I told him I have. Then he said it wasn't I or II model. I said that's OK, I have Extreme III. He said it uses IV (doesn't even exist).

Then he said that it doesn't come with a battery! I laughed and said that all the kits come with a battery so he tried to counteract that with saying that it was only a demo battery and would last 20 minutes. I then told him to cancel the order, and he tried to reitterate that it doesn't come with a battery.

So I asked him to hold on which I searched the net for specifics on the 30D kit and after 2 minutes, he said "OK, I gotta go. Do you want the camera or not". I said "not". He replied "Fine" and hung up!!

PLEASE LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT CROOKS THESE GUYS ARE!!
