Royal Taxi San Francisco San Francisco Taxi Rips Off Passenger San Francisco California
A Royal taxi driver picked up a friend from the Airport. My friend gave the taxi driver a piece of paper with my address in South San Francisco. The Royal taxi driver drove my friend all the way downtown and then out to South San Francisco and the taxi driver told me he did this because his GPS does not work in his taxi! When the taxi driver got to my house, he dropped her off about 2 1/2 blocks away from the house and charged her 40.00 for a ten minute ride from the airport. I called his dispatch at Royal taxi and spoke with a person named Miriam or Marianne something like that. She tried to help but just like any of the taxi companies in San Francisco without social skills.
I felt as though she was blaming me for her drivers mistake. I am sure she has a difficult job working with so many idiots! I called South San Francisco police and the 311 system to file a complaint about the driver to the SFMTA. Will followup to let you know if the SFMTA even does anything about this driver. I feel as though the driver should lose his Airport permit for incompetence and scaring the hell out of my guest! Then charging off the meter of 40 dollars because of his error. If this happened with Sidecar, Lyft or Uber the driver would probably not be working. There needs to be consequences for this driver, this experience was not ok.
