Rual Housing, farmers Home Administration, The Government at work for the people that pay their way! Batavia New York
I got a loan from rual housing. When my home was being built there were many problems (some major) I was finding. I would report them to rual houseing and all they did was turn their backs on it leaving me trying to straighten them out. Well when the contractor figured out rual housing was not going to bother him he did as he pleased.
toward the end of the house being built he even said he was done because he was out of money. I refused to close 2 times and the 3rd time rual housing told me it was my problem. I fought the goverment on my own for 3 years trying to get them to do somthing about fixing the house. I finally got them to put me into this constuction defect program, but they kept rejecting all the repair estimates I would turn in.
I contacted the local news station about it, they aired a few segments on it and then rual housing told me to get an estimate turned in. They had to remove the roof truss system from the house and they installed a rafter system in its place(one of the more major problems) After all the work was done and approved one of the local employess told me that the rafter system made the inner walls load bearing and they where not rated for that.
Well anyways here I am a few years later with the house starting to show signs of problems and after paying $40.000 on the home so far I looked at selling it but the good lod goverment still wants $84,000 on a loan that was $66,900 to begin with. When you call rual housing about your account or anthing you get a diffrent answer everytime.Or you get told that must of been a new person you talked to because we dont do that.
DO NOT use raul housing to purchase your first home!...The only ones that wins is the Goverment.
I could write on and on but Please look at other options before you use Rual housing!
