I started to play runescape recently and after about three days I have been banned for offensive language however reading the messages it said I was banned because my username EarlFaulk is offensive, Im already in the red zone with 10 out of 10 blackmarks on my account nevermind the fact that I rarely if ever speak in the game. I appealed it but I doubt they will change their minds. If they dont it may be a blessing in disguise as I was spending too much time playing that game anyways. Still I had the feeling it would happen eventually anyways. It seems they made up their mind today to do it out of the blue, as all 3 messages are dated the 13th and I havent played this game at all today.

Ive read peoples problems with runescape online and it seems the appeals process is a waste of time, it will be for me since I essentially got permanently banned when I wasnt even playing the game. I dont know if someone hacked my account, or got ym password somehow, but the messages all have the listed time of 9:40 to 9:54am at which time I was asleep since I work night shift.

I guess if you get something for free dont expect much in return

For some reason all of my reports no longer show up with my name.  I can't find them with the my reports button.

The fact that they considered my name EarlFaulk to be offensive shows they are PC to the max.  Im guessing they mistook it for a play on words of the f bomb.  Either way, they are better games out there without powertripping mods or GMs (I wonder how many are actually teens in jagex's case) namely one player flash games.

This doesn't justify Jagex's actions to ban the account.  I've had similar problem with my disabled child playing the game and being banned for macroing.  You cannot reason with them as they will fight you to the death on why they are right even when they are wrong.  They have no concept of customer service and their support... Well, they hide behind a wall of auto-responders and you must use their website in order to communicate with them in hopes that it might get a response.  Let's face it, no reputable company sets their business up to operate like this, so secretive and difficult to reach, unless they intend to operate it in a way that would create problems in the way they are conducting business.  They obviously saw this coming and have structured themselves in a way to avoid direct contact with the public, except to collect money.  What scums..  But, I'm a firm believer of what goes around, comes around.  Just wish I could be there when it does.

The thing is, Jagex receives mass amounts of reports a day. They can't look through all of them at once. Thats why all three reported ended up in the same day, because thats when they reveiwed it.
