Sacramento Regional Transit Sacramento Public Transportation is a poor quality service! Sacramento California
Sacramento Public Transportation is one of the worst, poor quality services I have ever dealt with! I am surprised at the fact that not a single person on the bad business bureau website has ever filed a complaint report about Sacramento Regional Transit (RT) service. The buses are notorious for showing up late and, in some occasions, doesn't show up at all at their alotted time slot. This puts a hamper on a customer's schedule; especially if they have a job, meeting, class, or party they have to go to and the bus drivers can show up whenever they feel like it and no disciplinary action is taken against the offending driver.
There are so many problems with Regional Transit that the space doesn't permit me to write about all the egregious problems with Sacramento's public transit system so I will focus mainly on the most common case problems. One, the buses are notorious for not showing up on time. If, say, you are waiting for the number 51 bus and it's supposed to show up a 12:00 pm and instead shows up at 12:17 pm, seventeen minutes late, well tough luck there's not much you can do about it. This problem happens so frequently that the customer advocacy department behaves as though "the bus showing up late? Geez, what else is new."
The Customer Advocacy Department is one of the worst behaved group of incompetent professionals I have ever had the unpleasure of dealing with. Even you have been wronged and file a complaint report witht the customer advocacy department, they are a toothless bengali tiger and have virtually little to no enforcement powers. There have been occasions where they have argued with me and tried to put the onus of blame on me and said I was in the wrong. Even if the bus shows up late the only disiplinary action taken against the driver is 1. counseling and 2. bus driver retraining. That's it! These imbeciles don't get fired or suspended without pay. And disciplinary actions rarely if ever happen against offending drivers. An RT customer feels like a victim who can't go anywhere to voice their concerns or complaints.
