I made a routine purchase via Aliexpress. I have done many times previously with no major issue - that being said, I had never actually bought anything substantial. I bought a phone from this seller. All appeared fine initially, although when I received the phone, I noticed that the back battery cover would not close. At that point I was lucky enough not to have left feedback or closed the transaction - so the payment was not yet released. Obviously due to this fact, the seller was quite helpful in sending a replacement cover.

I received my replacement cover, left my feedback & stupidly released the payment. The replacement cover was slightly better, but still bent enough not to close. At the time I figured that I would be done with it. Then I attempted to obtain another cover as I apparently had a '1 year warranty'. Since then & to this day, the seller has made excuse after excuse telling me that this is NOT part of the warranty (but how do you have a phone without a back battery cover?). After continual emails (which largely went unanswered), the seller promised to send me a cover within 10 days.

10 days passed - no communication & no cover. Eventual replies to my various messages were same as before. One of which being:

'Dear friend. do you know the what mean with the warranty? warranty mean is if the phone have problems i will help you fix it. but if need change some things you need pay money. do you know?'

An attempt at being rude & avoiding the warranty (when is a battery cover NOT part of a phone?)... This is my last resort regretfully, but I NEED to get this out there just in case some other poor person receives a poor quality product & poor service at an expensive price. Does not honour their 'warranty' (puts their own conditions on it although it is nowhere mentioned in detail) or their word. Had I had the opportunity to avoid this seller, all things considered, I most definitely WOULD have....

Hello -

I know that your post is from last year, but I wanted to list a response so that others who have problems with an AliExpress supplier can find out more about how to file a complaint.

AliExpress.com has a customer service team to assist buyers in this type of situation. The best way to get in touch with them is to send an email with the particulars of the situation to [email protected].

We can’t resolve 100% of customer issues, but I promise that we will try.

Best regards,

Seller continues to show his true colours...

For the past few months (since April) I have attempted DAILY to email 'Sam' to have a replacement part sent under my so-called 'warranty'.

At one point (after nearly a month of emailing daily, with no response from 'Sam'), he 'promised' to send the replacement part. Time passed & nothing came...

I have since continued to email daily, but as before, no responses...

So this seller not only provided a item that arrived damaged (& 2 subsequent replacement parts also arrived imperfect & damaged), he has been continually dishonest, rude, made promises he had no intention of keeping & refuses to honour his '1 year warranty' (or when he DOES, he makes up the conditions as he goes). This seller does not care about happy customers...
