Sam's Club ripoff different pricing in different stores without telling the consumer why it's different Gurnee And Vernon Hills Illinois
I was at the Sams Club in Gurnee and was thinking of buying a weight bench. It was clearly priced for $322.50.
I came back later that day to buy it but was told that the last one was sold and there were none left.
I went to the Vernon Hills store assuming that I would find the the weight bench for the same price. Boy was I wrong; it was $100 more.
The manager at the Vernon Hills store told me that the reason it was more expansive was because the weight bench at Gurnee was the last one and was priced to move it. No one at Gurnee told me it was the last one and it was never marked that it was being sold so cheap because it was the last one.
All I was told was to wait 30 days and come back and they would give me the difference if there was one.
This just not fair. The item should be marked that it is the last one and that is why it is being sold for cheaper than other stores.
