Please be aware that Sanders-Abbott appears to be marketing under a new name FORD COMMONWEALTH. The site looks the same and the pitch is exactly as before. http://www.ford-commonwealth.com/

After posting a resume with Monster.com I too received this bogus e-mail. Naturally I went to their site to "check them out".... the first obvious indication of the company being bogus... the links on the side of the page are not clear, there is a haze around the letters, this is caused by low end graphics programs, such as paint, when you insert text over an existing image. In other words, they do not possess qualitfied people to create their website. Second indication of Bogusness... they claim they are a site similar to monster, but their listings are too numerous to post, this is bull, if you properly categorize businesses and create on-line templates it takes only seconds to add them to your website, and most can be done automated so their is no administrative burden to the company. Furthermore, in doing a web search to find history on the company, none existed but many forums had postings similar to this one. My word of advice is be carefull and do some research. Contact companies before blindly sending off resumes or applications, some information you give may be enough for someone to do something horrible.

I too have my resume posted on Monster.com and in my email this morning also had the "email" from Sanders-Abbott. Luckily I couldn't access their site. So I did a web search and found this site with all your postings.
Thank you all.
Happy job hunting and best of luck to all.

I just received an e-mail from this company. Since I have never utilized job searching through the internet, I was very excited to see Sanders Abbott Company's response. The website seemed very credible and professional, and so I submitted my application. To finalize the application process, I was directed to signup for a free interviewing c.d. There was only one obstacle; the shipping and handling cost, about $6.95 via a credit card, was the method of payment. Because I do not own a credit card, I was not able to finish the transaction. I wanted to contact the company and let them know, but it seems not to exist.
Thank you for this site. When sincere people are searching for jobs, they can often be taken advantage of.
Sincerely,
Karen Bontrager

Abbott Laboratories is a legitimate pharmaceutical company located in North Chicago IL. I do not work in the pharmaceutical division of Abbott Laboratories but I am an employee of Abbott Laboratories.
I saw many comments in which folks mention they thought that this Sanders-Abbott is some sort of pharmaceutical company.
I hope this helps clarify things.

Im very glad this website exists. I went to search for Sanders-Abbot because I thought they were a pharmacutical company and luckily did not buy into thier product. I thought it was quite odd that they would try and sell me something when they found my resume. Further, I attempted to look for thier website and none existed, which is also how I found this website. THanks lots, you really saved me plenty of time in looking for a job.

I have just received an email stating that abbott-sanders would like to contact me regarding my resume on monster.com. Boy am I glad that I did a search for them before I took them seriously. My initial idea was to see what type of company they were, I guess I found out. This site is extremely information in helping the average individual in their search for employment and I just wanted to say THANKS. Now this is one I won't be wasting my time on.

My husband, a native of Japan, has his resume on a variety of web sites and has received something from Sanders Abbott several times. Fortunately for him, I work for a legitimate employment agency and was able to keep him from getting hurt.
My suggestion is to avoid any service that contacts you through the internet, but not for a specific position. In the case of Sanders Abbott, I responded to the e-mail that my husband received asking for specific details. They responded by sending an exact copy of the original e-mail...
Legitimate employment agencies will not contact you with a form letter. While the contacts I send out from our agency may be brief, I will invariably include a short description of the position I am contacting the individual about (Or at the very least, the title of the position) as well as my contact information so that they may contact me at their convenience.
One last piece of advice is to never NEVER pay an employment agency money for their services if you are a job seeker. Most agencies operate either as a retained search firm or contingency based. In either case, profits are generated from the hiring company, not the job seeker.
It is certainly regretful that there are employment agencies that do not operate honestly as it give those that do a poor name.
I hope I could be of some help.
