Sanford Brown Institute - Career Education Corporation - UltraSound Diagnostic School Sanford Brown Institute Misleads unsuspecting students with lies and bullying sales tactics Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
I enrolled at Sanford Brown Institute thinking that it would change my life for the better, only to find out that what I was told during the Admissions process was just a sales pitch to get my money...and now all I have to show for it is debt. When the Admissions Rep told me that I would have to do an Externship for about 2 months at the end of the program, I specifically told him that I basically am living from paycheck to paycheck and that maybe this would not be a good choice for me right now. He of course reassured me that I wouldn't have to worry about money at that time. So then I asked, "does that mean I will be hired?", and he just said, "Alot of our graduates are hired during and after their externships, so you have no need to worry about money right now"....Boy was that a load of crap. So anway, I went through with the program , which was extremely easy (almost too easy I thought), and went on to my Externship...Of course all of the Externships at night were taken because most of the students worked during the day, so I was one of the unlucky ones who had to quit their day job to go work in a doctor's office for free...and there lies the problem that I had stated from the beginning...I couldn't afford not having a job and I couldn't find a part-time job at night that would cover my bills. So, unfortunately after 2 weeks into my Externship, I could no longer afford to do it. When I tried to contact the school to make other arrangements, they were very nasty and the lady that makes arrangements for the Externship sites yelled at me for not continuing, even though I explained to her that I couldn't even afford the gas to get there...She could care less. (I later found out that at least 20 other classmates could not afford to continue with their Externship for the same reason, and that they were told the same lie that I was). So,then came the bills...I've never heard of an ELF loan before, but at 18% interest it really adds up and no company is willing to help me consolidate it. And the funny thing is I remember a girl walking out of the Admission's office before me because she knew better about taking such a loan (let's just say she was very loud about it)...I should have followed her out the door. Now I can't even get my transcript to go to another school. I just feel lied to, and used...and I don't even have a certificate to show for it.

Yes, I spoke with him and he is very interesed in speaking to former and current students. I am especially interested in students that attended the Tampa campus for the Ultrasound program. Please contact him right away. We may be able to start a class action lawsuit.

If you attended Sanford Brown in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (any of the programs) and have issues with Externship, classes, instructors or finding a job after graduation please contact attorney, Stuart Talley at 888-285-3333.
He is willing to help and represent these students.
