Iv worked for save mart for 8 years in a store the same size as Gwyns and i can say that i was never tereated unfaily iv taken that produce test at my store and the test is to make sure you know your codes before the store sends u to another store to be trained as a checker. If u fail the test managment can still send u to training if they see fit. If u fail at checker taining managment can still insist that u become a checker,if your willing to work u can move up faily quicely in this company, if u are not then u arent going anywhere,i faild the first time i took the test and my store manager said that i had 3 trys. this is information u need to know if u are going to become a checker. I have in my time at the store known people who got fired for various reasons. The numer one being late or a noshow, or employee theft.Save Mart has always been fair with me and iv never seen anyone mistreated by management and considering how many times iv been called to the office and written up thats saying alot. My store is union and so to get promoted we go by senority.whos worked their the longest gets the oppertunity to move up first.I was a bagger for 4 years befor i became a checker,i still think i was treated faily,had i wanted to become a checker sooner all i had to do was put a bid in at another store,but i didnt want to so i stayed in coalinga. I think Save Mart is a great place to work whit lots of oppertunities for its employess,if your willing to work and want it all u have to do is put a bid in and interview for a position(u dont interview for checker positions). how hard is that.People who dont work dont move up and i think thats true with any company p.s. my store manager used to be the groceri manager at Gwyns store!!

I work @#36. i see people come and go, it is not because of favortism. it is because of the lack of work ethic they posess. I have heard from many of my co-workers that me and a few others are the favorites. non-sense. if people would just grow up, stop complaining and do there work they would have nothing to worry about. I also realize that the reason most of the lazy people that keep there job is because of the union (aka)lazy people security. i also see that the people who do complain about favortism are the pro-union/LAZY people. For the 2 years i have worked there i have not had to worry about losing my job. keep your nose in the dirt and do your job.

there is a lady name is sarha ramarize and she got me fired for a lie with some jo jo potots I think you are not aloud too hire family and janice altmore did kind of she gets any thing she wants she is janices sons girl friend I really liked my job and if you can give me and other chance I will be the best thank you joe y store #76
