Sbs Family Rewards ripoff after phone order Plano Texas
After a purchase on the telephone in August a $9.95 charge started to appear on my mastercard bill. I only learned of this charge today eight months later as I went through my old statments preparing for income tax forms. I called the 888 number on the statments and spoke with a girl that said we had joined a club SBS that gave discounts on food in restaurants and that allowed me to save money on gas by purchasing a gas card valued at $25 for $20. I told her I wanted nothing to do with the club and wanted a total refund. She offered to send me another membership packet and I again told her I wanted a total refund and felt ripped off. She said she was sorry I felt this way and offered to remove two months form my bill. The lady gave me a fax number to send a letter to and ask for a total refund. I have not done that yet but will do that after finishing this letter. I am also going to contact Mastercard to have the charges challenged. Before I hung up the represenative tried to sell me a supplemental hospitalization coverage. I said I was not in any way interested and she said it would save me money. A very persistant individual.
