Schneider has its toadie employees who have been told to monitor this website and post glowing testimonials as to how great it is to make the Schitter Family in Green Bay filthy rich while you earn so little pay your forced into the class of the working poor.
90% of drivers working for this scammer outfit are working poor that is how crummy Schitter National treats its employees. Now i am sure a n**i SA Brownshirt OSR who has nothing better to do then monitor this website during his lunch break well come on here saying how great it is to work for a multi billion dollar outfit that refuses to offer a pension plan and even goes so far as to strip u of your medical benefits when u retire cause the 1%'ers running this joke outfit don't care in the least about the drivers.
Also on a lighter note Schitter National likes to dress their employees up in n**i Regalia with the OSR's wearing n**i SA Brown and the training engineers wearing Gestapo Black. lol.
I suggest that the executives should wear Waffen SS Gray to complete the trifecta as SNI is a fascist outfit that craps all over its employees so think twice before u get mixed up with bum outfit.

As a former driver of Schneider I find Dusty's story to be one of many Ive heard over the years from people who would, have & will always find a reason for complaining. Thats not to say that driving for Schneider is not difficult, but Id say out of the 5 other trucking companies that I have worked for, Schneider is hands down the most safety compliant. Almost to the point of being a pain the backside.
Long haul truck driving is a very difficult job & while I wont go into the details, my experience with Schneider was that they made many efforts to insure my safety & comfort. I drove for 5 consecutive years (2001-2007) & if I decide to return to driving, Schneider is the 1st company I will call.
If I were to list my complaints they would be, there are no dogs allowed, some of their older trailers need to simply be replaced, I got tired of driving in the same region of the country & Id like more home time.
But if you are a new driver, Schneider is the way to go. More support. More terminals. And Good equipment other than the older trailers.

Schneider is one of the worst companies I have ever worked for. They paint a pretty picture of the company when you think about going to work for them. They give you Schneider approved footwear, and pay for 2 meals a day when your are in orientation. I ran the majority of the time out of the West Memphis OC. They have told nothing but lies just to get you in the door. The government gives them $2500 every time a potential employee comes to work for them regardless if you finish orientation or not. If other truck drivers would see what kind of company they are they will stay clear of these guys. I bought the Schneider apparel at each of the OC's I have been too. The pier diem is a joke they get the tax credit for you being on the pier diem program. Before I quit I lost my medical and dental coverage. I was not able to afford coverage.
I cannot stress enough on how pathetic this company is. I hope and pray no one goes through what I went through with SNC.

I beg to differ Sean, when I was with my Training Engineer, I rode for two weeks in a white Schneider Kenworth T-2000 just as Dusty described. My TE ran the Spartech account, and at that time, Spartech ran the Kenworths. Now they are Freightliners, but there are still Kenworth trucks in the Schneider fleet. Dusty isn't the only person who had problems due to the Per Diem at SNI. Many people signed the forms to "Opt out" of the program, only to find that they ended up in the program anyway. I was smart enough to ask my CPA about the Per Diem program, and told to opt out, because it was set up to benefit Schneider more than the drivers. If you are going to call someone a liar, make sure YOU know what you are talking about first.

Sean i am afraid that you are incorrect. Schneider does in fact own KW's and several of them. Freightliners are their majority but Schneider does own internationals, KWs, Petes so i guess you dont know what your talking about. As a driver for Schneider i can personally back Dusty on the claims he has made because i have been through the same experiences he has. I would like to believe that Schneider is a great company but i can only judge by my observations and experiences. I hope Schneider does come through because I am under thier school contract for another 6 months. Dustys claims may sound a bit out there but they are just about the same as mine are so heres another person atestinf the same thing. Dan Tulsa Oklahoma Schneider driver based out of west memphis AR

You obviously do not know what a per diem is and Schneider doesn't own any KW T2000's.

Dusty... I'm curious, how did they "basically" tell you to shut up??? When you are driving a truck, you are in the left seat. You are the pilot-in-command! If, in your opinion the truck is unsafe then YOU communicate with them the issue. If your dispatcher stonewalls you, you go over their head! If any dispatcher, driver trainer or terminal personel wants you to do something which YOU feel is unsafe, illegal or unethical you go over their head even all the way to Wisc if needed. You are the person on the scene and you are the one who knows what's going on, not somebody sitting in an office who's never been in a truck. As far as the per diem issue is concerned, it sounds like either a failure to properly communicate or understand what per diem is and means. Although I've never driven for SNC, there is no doubt in my mind it is a great company and there is no "basically" in that.
