Took $1,000 as fee to find a particular car. Asked what color etc. After a couple of weeks I call and he says it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Called him ina couple of days and told him we are going to buy the car new. He then says I found you your car. This where the scam takes place. He says the color you wantedinside and out with the sport package. I'ts in Infinity Ft Lauderdale sevice dept. having a red dash light repaired. I called Infinity and they don't have the car. Next morning I called him and asked for my money back. He said I found you the car and I'm keeping your money. I said show me the car.Have not heard from him since that call.

Yes, the customer did request us to find a particular car for him we do require a $1,000 deposit in return for this service which we sell the car at a wholesale price, once located. After more than a week of searching, attending several different auto auctions, running Carfax and Autocheck reports, doing title searches, and countless hours on the internet, the customer calls and states "I found a car somwhere else". Why would you have us search for a car when your doing your own searching? Why would you purchase a car from another dealer when you assured us you would be purchasing the car from us? Bad reputation? This customer was recommended to us by HIS friend of 40 years whom has purchased 3 cars from us in the past.
