I just got home from work about 12:30 on 11/19. I checked my mail on the way in and there is always a ton of bills and the occasional good news. I got a letter from this company today I guess I got referred to on Careerbuilder.com about a secret shopper position. So I read the letter and apparently this company wants me to complete this assignment for them. After reading the letter some things aren't adding up. Like: why did this letter come from Toronto, ONT in Canada if it is a company supposedly in the US. Then I also realize there is a number to call to "activate you check" uh huh riiiiiiiiiiight.....checks aren't activated. Then it states the business hours are 9a-8p eastern time-clearly stated in the letter AND says "New York Time". If this company is in MN, why are they even concerned with eastern time. They sent me a check for $3,100.00. They think I am going to cash it and wire Ellen Wooddruf in London money. Yeah, ok. So after I read all this stuff, I start looking. I was suprized to not find anything on ripoffreport.com about this company. I found several other sites that told me the check is a fake don't cash it. (What is bad is like I have a bank account anyways) The BBB rates them with an F. (I looked) And the letter is signed by Alain Pierre. I'm no moron. I took 2 1/2 years of French in school and know what a name that is French looks like. And since the letter came from Canada I am willing to bet that they actually operate out of Canada. Beware everyone!!!!! Every site I have looked on about secretshopperusa.com has said it is a scam and the check is fake. So when you check your mail and this is in there, do what I did: think of your kids, and toss the thing through a paper shredder.

DON'T EVEN RESPOND TO THESE PEOPLE THE CHECKS LOOK VERY LEGIT BUT IT IS A SCAM!
If you are still thinking well that check looks awfully real to me, google secretshopperusa.com scam. You get over 100 hits from different examples and complaint boards about people this company has ripped off.
