I wouldn't have paid the last bill but i can surely understand your stress. Mine is somewhat like yours, however, i had to replace an entire front yard due to this untimely treatment of the fungus in my yard and it costs me $3675. During June, July and August when my yard was dying I still paid my monthly payment hoping it would grow back but was told by another company that it would not and I had to get rid of it. So this poor company I had tried to bill me for Sept. I was "fired" from them 9/23.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and several organizations this guy (a real thug) boasts he is a member of on his website. his lawyer sent me a threatening letter of "cease and disist" or he would sue me for defamation.
I am 61, widowed and disabled and received social security. I'm sure this pig crossed more lines than destroying my yard. I will not pay that last $47. Its the principal. All I had to pay out and now he wants that.
I told him if I get another bill I will get a restraining order against him. Further more the letter from the lawyer is so dispicable and unethical that another lawyer told me to send it to the Bar Association.
Pest Control companies stand behind their small print. I think there should be a law against small print. It states that fungus cannot be controlled. However if you catch it first, relayed to me by the county extension office, and treat each week for two weeks and wait two weeks and treat again, the chances are it will be okay. In my situation it was treated once and they didn't come back for three weeks. I called and called to get them back and they ignored me. In that three weeks it had spread like wildfire. It took two months for 4500 sq. ft. of lawn to die. All that was left was thatch, weeds and ant mounts.
We need pest control but it needs to be done in a timely fashion when there is a problem. All of a sudden I became the bad guy. I did my job, I paid each month by placing my payment on the door. They never had to send me a bill in the mail.
