Shadow Shopper These scammers have the gall to charge for what amounts to you doing your own search on "mystery shopping companies". The merely put you on a list (even there they failed where other companies picked Carson City, Nevada
ShadowShopper.com is taking advantage of people and making money providing nothing whatsoever that one couldn't get from a Google search. They are preying on newcomers to the secret shopper industry while imagining (I can only guess) that they provide some kind of service.
When confronted, they do not deny any of it. They don't even have good excuses, so they just process the refund and send you on your way. At least they give the refund through the online chat because there is virtually no other way to contact them besides a web form and snail mail. Whatever you do, don't buy the monthly membership for more than a few bucks, even if you're curious. You'll want your few dollars back when you see what they provide.
Any company that is preying on noobs is evil in my book. And, these guys prey on noobs AND the idiotic organizations that seem to imagine that this is a respectable company.
And, now I know why customer service just keeps getting worse and worse across America. Nobody is using real secret shoppers. You're actually told to ignore major problems and focus on the positive! What?
They want you to enable the salespeople to present their pitch in the best possible scenario, so you end up pretending that they're doing well, so they can finish and you can tell the company they're doing well!
It is absolutely backwards from what should be happening on these secret shops. I am astounded to learn the truth behind this entire industry. I am appalled that such a middleman company as ShadowShopper.com even exists. Blood sucking leeches come to mind.
