I too had Sherman install a Geo system. Jim Gansky did a wonderful job, with the help of Thomas Hancock Sr. (Who spoke of the electric savings that never happened), Thomas Hancock Jr. (Who works on the rebates that they knew were never going to happen) and Terrence Hancock (who "personally visits each job site" - I think he passed by my site once but never got out of his car). Let's not forget relative Kirk who looked liked the deer caught in the headlights but I'm sure had an idea of this scam.
Looking back, I should have seen Jim's sales pitch for the line of crap that it was.
Everything written in Maggie NoBellmore's report is 100% accurate and my situation exactly. Now that I am stuck with this system I have no choice but to make the best of it. I got clobbered in my electric bill last winter. I did a lot of research, found an HVAC contractor who went above and beyond to add auxiliary heat to my system when it couldn't keep up in the dead of winter, and started taking steps to improve my house's performance. If you're up for the same, I suggest you start at geoexchange.org, a forum of folks who want to help and don't ask for a dime.
i can tell many stories about this company who seemed clueless during installation, but now realize it was by design. Yes, the employees did care and try, and I feel bad that they, and subcontractors, got screwed.
Class action? - count me in!

I used a company called Temp-Art mechanical. They're in West Babylon I believe. They came on a Saturday, but didn't get it working properly until Tuesday. I understand what you're going through. Hang on, it is going to get at least a little warmer tomorrow.

I ask you, no I beg you as i sit here with my oven on & 5 heaters all over my house still not keeping it warm @3 degrees below zero.
Can you PLEASE give me the name of the HVAC contractor that helped you?
Anyone we have contacted do not want to or know how to touch the monstrocity of a so called heating system!!!
