Like I told someone else....Take it from me; I worked for SCC for over 4 years and I know how they operate, not only that I was a Store Manager so trust me. They got you on the EPA. thats the form where they made you imprint your Credit Card. Now take it from me; the employees there are trained to come up with slick ways to pitch it because if they are too detailed about it, no customer in their right mind will ever do it. So why buy from guys like them? you shouldn't things may not always go right with your service provider so yes you have the right to cancel. take verizon; your case. They only charge 175 to cancel, shock city wants to charge you an extra 350 per phone because they are under contract with the provider that the customer will keep the phone for at least 6 months/181 days otherwise verizon does a chargeback. To cover their butts scc goes after you. So I am sorry you went throught this cause i am for sure the employee didnt tell you exactly what it was; I didnt do it really but I needed to get sales no matter what; thats what they taught us. Its a dirty game and I dont recommend that anyone should ever buy from them. its not fair for the customer to have to pay an additional 350 on top of what they already owe for the provider. They should've taken those phones back, I know for sure cause I've seen it done that they take back phones and resell them, trust me I have seen it with my own eyes under my watch

I appreciate the feedback and although it seemed a little hostile (and bad spelling) it is noted that you were thinking I was trying to find a way out of a contract which WAS read before signing. First off: It was explained to my by the rep. that the photo copy of a credit card was for security purposes that if by chance I could not pay for the phones they would take an automatic payment from the card. Second off: NONE of the phones were damaged in any way. Only three of the phones were used; one by my girlfriend who used it because it was put onto her plan by the sales agent, the second was used for her cousin who did most of the primary txting/calling and the third was by me for ONE phone call that had such poor reception that I didn't use it again. The fact that you would tell a complete stranger to "man up" is rude and irresponsible on your part for the fact that you weren't there, you don't know what happened, and you didn't know that I am not the first to be "dupped". I was told face to face by a Verizon wireless store manager that Shock city cellular had left the state of WI because of the complaints from the customers going up the corporate tree in Verizon wireless. I've explained my situation to a lawyer, showed him the phones AND the contract I signed and he agrees with me in the fact that I was scammed. Comment read, comment understood, thank you for feedback.

Dear "Paganchild" (nice name?), granted you are a teenager and you may not think you have to read a contract before you sign it, you actually do in order to avoid these situations. When they took a print of your credit card don't you think you should have asked why they did this? Wouldn't it make sense to find out what you are signing and why you got 5 phones for free? Don't make the excuse that "I am just a teenager" thats basically you saying, "I am just an idiot" when someone gets your social security number, your credit card infotmation, your adress and your signature. So you can complain that you were duped into this situation when in fact you were so excited about getting five phones for free, and probably bragged for about 48 hours to your little teenage buddies, until you realized that you have a bill to pay each month. You probably did damage the phones and that is why they could not return them. After all you are "just a teenager". Why should a company hve to pay for you not being responsible? Man up, take responsibility foor your own lack of attention and pay, like every one else.
