On 5/7/14 I ordered our cabinets through Frank by electronic check. Shop RTA does not take credit cards "in order to pass the savings along to the consumer".  The 2-5 week delivery was a bit long but the cabinets were pretty and affordable. The week before the 5 week promised delivery date we tore out part of our kitchen to get ready for delivery. 5 weeks came and went. I contacted Shop RTA by phone and email starting 6/13/14 every business day. Their voice mail claimed that they would contact you within one business day. To this day 8/5/14 they have never returned a call. Now their voice mail claims that they will handle all correspondence by email. On 6/18/18 I sent an email saying that I would be getting a hold of the BBB if I did not hear from them.  

Shop RTA them contacted me by email and said that they didn't have our lower cabinets but could seems our uppers. I suggested they substitute another cream maple cabinet and I was told that was unacceptable to them because it was 3x as much and that they could send me a refund.  I replied that was fine, when could I expect my refund?  Shop RTA did not reply to any of my emails until the Chicago area BBB intervened. On 6/26/14 Shop RTA responded to my BBB complaint by saying they would send out our refund on 7/7/14 and to "allow ample time for delivery". Two weeks passedwithout a refund. Again,  the BBB requested a refund (on 7/22/14) and a date it was or would be sent.  Shop RTA  sent an email with a pdf Chase Online Schedule a Payment with a Send by date of 7/23/14 and a deliver by date of 7/30/14. It was obviously a fake because we still have not received our refund.

Shop RTA will not answer my emails and has not responded to the BBB request for a response.  They are obviously running a scam. If you are tempted to purchase cabinets through Shop RTA Cabinets please do yourself a favor and check the Chicago area BBB. Shop RTA has earned itself an "F" and the other complaints sound just like mine.

 Thank you for posting about the Chase PDF bank refund comment. That is what I just received from Scam Artist Frank Lamark.  This what I received from him this morning.  The pdf is dated todays date yet the company claimed it was mailed back on February 17. Says I assure you we dont get rich off $2500 but if they had over 200 orders in November like he claimed and ships no product sounds like you can get rich from that or at least live comfortablly.

Yes since you have not received the original refund check we mailed to you via USPS

I have had our accounting department issue a certified bank check directly from our bank so it will get to you. Please allow up to 5 business days to reach you since it is coming directly from our bank and NOT from our offices. I assure you we don’t get rich on $2500 for we sell hundreds of orders a month and stock the espresso shaker product in our own warehouses in Illinois. Also see attached proof of the bank draft.

Got Our Cabinets But it Was a Horrible Experience

We did change our mind after being told "The check is in the mail" and getting nothing.  Then the BBB asked them again when our refund would be coming and they sent a FAKE  Chase "Schedule a Payment" PDF (which I still have).  At that point we decided to cut our losses because we obviously were not getting our money back from them.  We got our first shipment end of August and the second the beginning of November.  SO,  while it is correct that we did change our mind ONCE - it was too get something for our money instead of nothing

 Again, check with the BBB.  That is all you really need to know.

Their order was shipped via R&L Carriers : Here is the tracking # 214835724 (R & L Carriers)

The customer changed their minds numerous times between waiting for back ordered items and having a refund sent to them.
